PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE AND PRAYER: Steve Lynch called the meeting to order and once again led the pledge and said the prayer himself. This is a continuing example of the selfless leadership style that makes Steve such a great candidate for District Governor. Someone in authority should take note. On top all this, the prayer eloquently covered all the compulsories and was delivered perfectly. 9.9 for the effort.

CLUB ASSEMBLY:
Steve conducted a brief analysis of the golf tournament and we discussed some suggestions for the future. We have committed to another year at Oak Hill and the date for next year is September 15, 2008. It is a given that Oak Hill provides a draw because it is such a fine course.
A committee will be formed to explore a comparison of other upscale/private courses that might provide a similar attraction as Oak Hill.
Since our tournament is held late in the year it is important to get golfers to budget and commit to ours earlier than we did this year. Some suggestions include mailing registration forms along with save the date.
Refresh and update our promotional materials.
Try to get a celebrity golfer as an added attraction.
Steve began a discussion of sagging membership and we decided to examine what members want from their club in order to focus on retention of those active members. We also need to recruit new members who will embrace our goals and activities.
